Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston is committed to providing its unique educational program to all who seek it. While the primary responsibility for a child's education rests with the family, an important hallmark of our school has been a policy of making the school financially accessible to families who are doing their utmost, yet are still unable to afford the full cost of tuition.
Under Schechter's two Financial Aid programs, families can request that their tuition obligation be reduced:
- Traditional Financial Aid is for families who need more assistance than $1,250-$1,750 per year per child.
- Quick Track Financial Aid provides a credit that reduces tuition by $1,250-$1,750 per student per year. It is geared to families with Adjusted Gross Incomes below $300,000 who would not qualify for the traditional program or who are uncomfortable with the traditional financial aid application requirements. Families who apply for Traditional Financial Aid and do not qualify will automatically be considered for Quick Track.
The financial aid process is completely confidential. Applications are processed by Independent School Management (ISM), a premiere consulting firm serving 3,000 independent schools. The application deadline for Traditional and Quick Track Financial Aid is February 15, 2008.
