Staff Day Programs

A trip to the Science Museum, a scavenger hunt, a puppet show, a winter “beach day” – these are some of the many fun and educational programs children can enjoy on Staff Days.

On days when there are no classes due to teachers participating in professional development programs, staff meetings, or conferences with parents, the Afterschool Adventure offers full and half-day activities for all grade levels.

Special programs might include International New Year Festival, Fall Harvest Festival, Exxcel, JCC, Boston Scavenger, Community Service, Thanksgiving Feast, and holiday celebrations. For more details see the registration info.

Staff Days for 2007-08 are:


  Wednesday, September 12 Half Staff Day (No Extended Day)
  Wednesday, September 26 Extended Day until 5 pm
  Monday, November 12 Full Staff Day
  Wednesday, November 21 Extended Day until 4 pm
  Wednesday, January 9 Kindergarten only – Full Staff Day
  Wednesday, March 26 Full Staff Day
  Friday, May 23 Half Staff Day

Full Staff Days are from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
Half Staff Days are from 11:25 (Lower School) / 11:40 (Upper School) am – 3:00 pm
There will be regular Extended Day from 3:00-6:15/6:30 pm on staff days unless otherwise noted.

If your child is enrolled in Extended Day for 4 or 5 days a week, there is no charge for staff days. If a field trip or special program is offered, the cost is $15.

For children not enrolled in Extended Day for 4-5 days a week, the cost is:

  Half Staff Day $30
  Full Staff Day $55 (includes the cost for any field trip)

How do we sign up?

Download registration form and information. Registration Form only. Return completed information to Chris Battista at 125 Wells Avenue (Business Office). Even if your child(ren) is enrolled 4 or 5 days per week and the staff day is no charge, we still need to plan accordingly.
