Alumni Parents keep the Schechter connection strong!
Many Alumni Parents say that the most important thing they did for their children was to send them to Schechter. Even though their children have grown and moved on to high school and college, Alumni Parents still care very much about the teachers, the administrators, and the facilities that played such a meaningful role in the entire family's life.
Thanks to these very strong feelings Alumni Parents still have for Schechter, we are able to successfully involve them as Board members, committee members, major donors and event co-chairs.
If you are an Alumni Parent who would like to become involved in upcoming activities, please contact Sharon Nagin Mintz, Director of Alumni Relations, at 617-964-3330 or sharon.mintz@ssdsboston.org.
Alumni Parents return to Schechter: March 2008
In 2008 alumni parents were invited back to the Lower School for a reunion. This year's reunion was geared toward alumni parents whose children graduated in the 1970’s and 1980’s. These alumni graduated Schechter 20 years or longer, but their parents still feel good about those early years when they helped build and sustain the school. More than 50 alumni parents attended and enjoyed seeing old friends, dining on hors d’oeuvres and listening to alumnus, David Schockett ’03, play the piano.
We would like to keep inviting Alumni Parents back to Schechter every
year and hope this is a beginning of a new, lasting tradition.
