On a cold January night more than 100 alums currently in high school came to the annual alumni pizza reunion party before the 8th grade Hebrew Musical. The alumni filled up the balcony section and enthusiastically cheered this year’s 8th grade class performing “South Pacific.”

Alumni Parent Reunion

More than 80 alumni parents, whose children graduated from Schechter in the 1990's, served on the committee for the "Coming Home to Schechter" wine and hors d'oeuvres evening held at the Lower School.

High School Alumni Reunion
January 2007
One hundred alumni, members of the classes of 2003-2006, attended the annual High School Reunion before a performance of the eighth grade play. The event conflicted with the Patriots-Colts games, but our alums didn't care. They visited with old friends and favorite teachers, ate pizza, and then enjoyed a performance of "Oliver!"

Class of 2006 Dance Reunion

The Class of 2006 is a very close class with a lot of SSDS spirit. It didn't take long for them to want a reunion and they quickly planned a Saturday night Dance Reunion which was held at the Upper School. Nearly the entire class showed up and danced, ate and talked for hours.

Class of 2002 Family Reunion
June 2006
More than 40 members of the Class of 2002, together with their parents and siblings, enjoyed the annual Alumni 4-Year Reunion for recent high school graduates. Head of School Arnold Zar-Kessler and many teachers stopped by the barbecue to renew acquaintances with their former students.

New York Reunion

The annual SSDS Alumni Reunion in New York City was in a new venue this year. Instead of dinner at a kosher restaurant, alums and family members met on a gorgeous Sunday in Central Park for a pizza picnic.

Alumni Reunion in Israel
April 2006
Alumni from the Classes of 1983-2001 joined with members of the current eighth grade for the annual Israel Reunion, timed to coincide with the Grade 8 Israel Study Tour. Attendees included participants in the Young Judaea year course and alumni spending their junior year in Israel as well as alums now living in Israel. The alums were delighted to reconnect with faculty and meet share SSDS memories with the Class of 2006.

Alumni Fund New Playground Equipment
February 2006
Thanks to the generosity of 25 alumni, our Lower School students are enjoying five new pieces of playground equipment. The children greeted the climbing structures, funnel balls, and four-seat seesaw with cries of “This is so awesome,” while one contributing alum responded: “I hope those kids are as happy at SSDS as I was. It's a beautiful thing to be afforded such a fine education.”

Classes 2002-2005: Reunion

Schechter Alums from the classes of 2002-2005 always enjoy the pizza dinner reunion that happens before the 8th grade Hebrew Musical. In January 2006, more than 115 alums came together for dinner and then stayed to watch the all Hebrew production of "Bye Bye Birdie".

Class of 1995: 10-Year Reunion
November 2005
Twenty-seven members of the Class of 1995 attended Schechter’s largest ever Ten-Year Reunion. The alums relished the opportunity to renew acquaintances, chat with some of their former teachers, and get caught up on news of their classmates. Members of the Class of 1995 are pursuing a number of professional avenues, from attending law, medical, journalism, and rabbinical school, to working at such jobs as: clinical social worker at domestic violence shelter, theatre director, real estate property manager, clinical research associate at cancer center, sales, publishing, college admissions, web developer, and teaching children with autism.

Class of 1994: 10-Year Reunion
September 2004
The Class of 1994 rang in the Jewish New Year with a lively, very well attended 10 year reunion at the Goldstein home. Alums, spouses, significant others, past and current Heads of School and even a teacher gathered together for a spirited evening.
