The Schechter community is buttressed by the many grandparents, relatives and friends who enthusiastically volunteer their time, participate in virtual learning opportunities, support Schechter’s fundraising campaigns and even do pick-up and drop-off duty at school!

The much-awaited pinnacle is our annual Grandparents’ and Special Visitors’ Day each May, but students and faculty delight throughout the year when they see these special people at school helping to check out books in the library, chaperone a field trip or on a Zoom “visit” to the classroom to share in a Shabbat celebration or milestone. These extended members of the community—whether they live near or far— are part of the loving backbone behind every single Schechter student and the school as a whole.

Last year we were thrilled to welcome more than 400 grandparents and special visitors to our campuses. This year’s Grandparents’ and Special Visitors’ Day will take place on Friday, May 10 and we hope to have even more visitors join us. Click here to register.
