Baseball Card Collectors
October 5, 2006

Do you have a favorite card in your collection?  What is it?

Student 1: One of my favorite cards is Jim Corsi with Bob Milacki. It's a double card. It's special because Jim Corsi autographed it.

Student 2: Roberto Clemente is my favorite card. I think that what he did was cool, risky and thoughtful. I admire him. There is a Roberto Clemente award.

Student 3: It's probably a tie between Honus Wagner (not an original) and Shoeless Joe Jackson. They are really good. One is a Hall of Famer. One of them was a big scoundrel and got eliminated from being part of the Hall of Fame.

How large is your collection? Where do you keep your collection?

Student 1: Maybe it has 120 or 140 cards. I get them from stores. I get them in bags and binders.

Student 2: My collection is large but not as big as others. I get my cards from packs from stores. I keep my collection in my binder in my room.

Student 3: I've got about 20,000 cards. One of my cousins has a friend and he gave me all of my cards. I keep the cards piled up in shoe boxes in my room.
