Borrowing Policy

Students may borrow books and magazines for a three week lending period. SSDS parents may also borrow books for the same three week period.  

Reference books may not be taken out, but pages may be xeroxed.   You must sign out ( fill out a library card ) for all books and magazines  you  take out.    You need to write the date in the first column, your full name in the middle column and in the last column your grade or class  (or parent or staff) . Please leave the signed library card in the designated spot, or if you don't know where that is, leave the card on the librarian's desk.  

You will be contacted by phone or e-mail if a book or magazine is overdue.   The Jay Orlin Library does not charge  overdue fines, but there is a charge of $18 for lost hardcover books, $8 for lost paperback books, and $2 for each lost magazine.
