Ready, Set ... Shakespeare!
SSDS students perform scenes from 'Macbeth'

The goal is to get about 30 students to perform Shakespeare after a single 45-minute rehearsal. Is it mission impossible for these fourth-graders at Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston? Not with Shakespeare and Company actors leading the charge.

On March 8, students at Jewish day schools in the area received a crash course in the 16th century playwright through a Bureau of Jewish Education program. Minutes before the energetic kids stormed into the gym for the event, members of the Lenox-based theater group said that youngsters have a natural affinity to Shakespeare that adults three times their age find inaccessible.
