Registration Information

Enrichment Classes
We are delighted to present our exciting calendar of enrichment classes for students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5. We are continuing our enhanced registration process, designed to better serve our community and ensure greater access to our most in-demand offerings. The priority registration period is open to all families.

Important Dates

  • Priority Registration:
    Opens Tuesday, November 18 at 10:00 a.m. through Sunday, November 30

    Registration during this period does not guarantee placement in a class. A lottery will be conducted for high-demand classes after the priority registration period ends.

  • Class Placement Notifications:
    Families will be notified by Friday, December 5.

  • Drop Deadline for Refund:
    Monday, December 8. After this date, full refunds are not available.

  • Open Registration:
    Begins Tuesday, December 9 at 10:00 a.m. for classes with remaining spots.

Refund Policy

  • Cancellations must be received by December 8 to receive a refund (minus $35 processing fee).

  • After that date, refunds will only be issued for extenuating circumstances.

  • Full refunds if a class is canceled due to low enrollment or if a student is not placed in their first-choice class.

Private Music Lessons (Pre-K–Grade 8)

  • Time: 3:00–6:00 p.m., Monday–Thursday

  • Weekly, 30-minute private lessons.

  • Register only after receiving a day/time assignment.

  • Interest form must be completed first.

Afterschool Hour & Extended Day

  • Afterschool Hour (Pre-K–Grade 5): $18/day

    • Ends at 4:00 p.m.

    • Includes art, science, games, recess. Grades 4–5 may attend supervised study hall.

  • Extended Day (Pre-K–Grade 8): $30/day

    • Runs until 6:00 p.m.

    • Includes art, STEM, cooking, free play, social time, homework.

Note: After 4:05 p.m., all programming occurs at the Stein Circle Campus. Grades 4–8 will be shuttled from Wells Avenue if registered for Extended Day.

  • Drop-In Option: Available for occasional needs. Families must update dismissal info in SchoolPass.

Bussing Info

If your child will ride the 4:00/4:05 p.m. bus (Tues, Wed, Thu), you must register for Afterschool Hour or an Enrichment Class.

Weekly Schedule

  • Start Date: Monday, January 5

  • End Date: Tuesday, March 31

  • Early Closings:

    • Fridays in Jan/Feb: 3:30 p.m.

    • Fridays in March: 4:30 p.m.

Program Information Pre-K

Extended Day: Pre-Kindergarten-Grade 8

For families who need their children to stay at Schechter at the end of the school day for the full afternoon. This program offers a dynamic array of activities such as art, STEM and cooking as well as time for free play, homework and socializing. The cost is $30 for the afternoon and is registered by trimester on the Popsicle registration site.

*Please note: After 4:05 p.m. there will be programming at the Stein Circle Campus ONLY. Wells Avenue Campus students in grades 4-8 who are registered for Extended Day will be shuttledt o the Stein Circle Campus.

Afterschool Hour: Pre-Kindergarten-Grade 5

Afterschool Hour is for families who want to have their children stay at Schechter for only one hour after the regular school day ends. Students can participate in a variety of activities such as art, science, building, games or enjoy supervised free play/recess. Grades 4-5 will also be able to work on homework in a supervised study hall. The cost is $18/day and is registered by trimester on the Popsicle registration site.

Drop-In: Pre-Kindergarten-Grade 8

Drop-in is our option for families who only need their student to stay on an occasional basis. Students can stay for one hour or the full afternoon when they are “dropping in.

Parents MUST change the student’s dismissal information in SchoolPass to arrange for dropin.

Early Closing Schedule:

  • Fridays in January and February: 3:30 p.m.

  • Fridays in March; 4:30 p.m.

Athletics (Grades 6–8)

Additional fees apply. Schedules may shift slightly season to season.

Theatre

Additional fees apply.

Fall Musical

  • Rehearsals: Thursdays, 3:15–5:45 p.m.

  • Begins: September 11

  • Performances: December 17 & 18

Spring Show (METG MA MS Theater Festival)

  • Rehearsals: Wednesdays & Thursdays, 3:15–5:45 p.m.

  • Begins: January 21

  • Performances: April 30

  • Festival: May 3
