Hanukkah Event at the MFA

Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
Join the Jewish Arts Collaborative and Schechter for an evening of art, music, and activities celebrating Hanukkah: The Festival of Lights. Join us for a for an evening of lively musical performances, engaging tours, art making and family-friendly activities. Discover the MFA’s collection of Judaica. View a one-of-a-kind menorah created by local artists Silvina Mizrahi and Sean Clarke, then enjoy a community candle-lighting. No need to RSVP; just come find us there!

Chanukah in the City 2018 

Sunday, December 9 - 10:00 am 
Back Bay Events Center, 200 Berkeley Street, Boston (Back Bay).
$18/family in advance, $25/walk-in

Join the Vilna Shul, PJ Library and Schechter for a morning of Chanukah music, crafts, and holiday fun! Preschoolers will participate in a variety of activities from menorah making to potato latke people, and elementary and middle school children will create paper circuit menorahs, light-up Chanukah cards, and engineer driedles from toothpicks! This event is designed for children ages 0-12, with age appropriate activities throughout two rooms, one designated for younger children (ages 0-6) and one for older children (ages 6-12). Be The Light: A Morning for the Whole Family!

Sunday, December 16- 10-11:30 a.m.
60 Stein Circle, Newton
Keshet and Solomon Schechter Day School invite you to bring your whole family for an intergenerational program. Schechter’s Director of Jewish Life and Learning, Rabbi Ravid Tilles, will host a conversation about raising our children to be “lights” in a world that can feel complicated and frightening during times like this. During the conversation, Schechter will lead fun-filled activities for the children. Kosher snacks provided. Following the conversation families will come together for an uplifting joint activity.

The weather is cold and messy and you don’t know what do with your little ones? Have no fear, Winter Sundays are here!! Join us for a cozy, and fun indoor play-space. We will have crafts, toys, and gym games available for your children and coffee for you! Free of cost!

Welcoming children under 3 (and siblings).

Please sign up here as we have a limited number of spots available. Would you be willing to read a story, lead songs or play some gym games? Let us know that as well as we are seeking parent volunteers!
