Schechter Boston is seeking a talented, mission-driven Team Lead of School Operations to ensure that the school’s operational and educational technology systems are efficient, reliable, and aligned with the needs of students, families, faculty, and administrators. This leader will oversee school operations, supervise operational staff, and coordinate the systems that enable excellent teaching and learning—including technology, data, communications, scheduling, and schoolwide logistics. This is an exceptional opportunity for an operational leader with strong technical fluency to support a dynamic, growing school and to strengthen the infrastructure that makes learning possible.
The Team Lead of School Operations is a senior member of the administrative team, reporting to the Head of School. This is a full-year (12-month) position.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Overseeing school operations including but not limited to transportation, dismissal, safety protocols, attendance, and our lunch program to ensure smooth, predictable, student-centered systems.
Supervising the school operations and educational technology teams, establishing priorities, coordinating workflows, and supporting strong communication among all operational stakeholders.
Leading the administration, upkeep, and integration of the school’s core educational technology platforms (Google Workspace, Blackbaud, SchoolPass, MAP Growth, and others) while ensuring excellent user experience.
Creating automated workflows and scripts that streamline calendar management, communication, and operational tasks, and leading the evaluation and adoption of new technologies that can enhance school operations.
Managing the master school calendar and coordinating major operational timelines to ensure cross-divisional alignment, transparency, and clarity for faculty, staff, students, and families.
Managing schoolwide operational communications including newsletters, updates, reminders, and system-generated messages to ensure clarity, consistency, and timely information for families and staff.

Technical Fluency – Comfort navigating, troubleshooting, and integrating diverse technology platforms; enthusiasm for learning new tools and building automation.
Supervision & Team Management – Establishing clear goals for staff, providing ongoing feedback, and ensuring shared accountability.
Strategic Thinking – Ability to anticipate needs, plan for future growth, and design sustainable systems that evolve with the school.
Collaboration, Communication and Change Management – Strong interpersonal skills, able to partner effectively with faculty, administrators, students, and families and gain buy-in for implementing new operational processes and systems.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications in operations, IT, or related fields preferred.
4–7 years of experience in school operations, information systems, IT management, or related operational leadership roles.
Experience supervising staff and coordinating complex projects.
Technical expertise in Google Workspace, device management, and SaaS platforms; familiarity with Blackbaud or similar systems is a plus.
Experience in a school setting preferred but not required.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: Up to $115k, commensurate with experience.
This is a 12-month position.
