About Gene

Eugenia (Gene) brings to Schechter many years of experience in music education and specifically in choral music. She has presented workshops on teaching vocal technique and music theory internationally. As both the Choral Director at Temple Emanuel, Newton and the Music Director at Camp Pembroke she has unique expertise in liturgical music, Israeli music and modern American Jewish music. As a proficient pianist she enjoys collaborating with other instrumentalists.
