Kindergarten Teacher (Full-Time 2026–2027)

Schechter Boston seeks an exceptional, experienced Kindergarten Teacher to join our early childhood team for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an opportunity for an educator who brings both deep pedagogical skill and fresh thinking, someone excited to shape classroom practice, be a part of an incredible collaborative team, and help set a high bar for early elementary learning.

This role is ideal for an educator who understands early childhood development, designs joyful and intellectually meaningful learning experiences, and is committed to knowing each child deeply.

Position Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and implement developmentally appropriate lessons that foster curiosity, play, inquiry, and foundational academic skills.

  • Create active learning experiences that support early literacy, numeracy, social-emotional learning, and Jewish life.

  • Differentiate instruction, activities, and assessments to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students so they feel safe, known, and engaged.

  • Establish and maintain a warm, organized, and well-structured classroom environment.

  • Collaborate closely with grade-level colleagues, specialists, and instructional coaches.

  • Communicate effectively and proactively with families.

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Teaching (required).

  • Massachusetts Teaching Certification (preferred).

  • Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience, preferably in early childhood or elementary settings.

  • Strong understanding of social-emotional learning and child development.

  • Excellent instructional skills, classroom management, and reflective practice.

  • Comfort working in a Jewish school environment (Jewish background welcome but not required).
