Lower School Substitute Teacher (2026-2027)

Position Summary

The Lower School Substitute Teacher is responsible for implementing lesson plans prepared by the classroom teacher and maintaining a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment during the teacher’s absence. Substitute teachers may also assist with other school-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children or in a classroom setting preferred, but not required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in education or a related field

  • Ability to create a positive and supportive classroom environment and work collaboratively with students and staff

Compensation & Schedule

$22-$25 per hour; commensurate with experience.

We offer consistent substitute opportunities throughout the school year and welcome candidates looking for regular, steady work. We are happy to work with candidates who can commit to a consistent schedule or a certain number of days per week.
